Multiple Indicator Cluster Survey 2000

Highlights:
The 2000 Lao PDR Multiple Indicator Cluster Survey (MICS) is a nationally representative survey of households, women, and children. This report presents the results of the survey, displaying the situation of mothers and children as of year 2000.The main objectives of the survey are to study the situation of women in Lao PDR at the end of the decade and to furnish data needed for monitoring progress towards goals established at the World Summit for Children. The survey provides valid information for the situation of children, women and households in areas such as education, water and sanitation, child malnutrition and reproductive health.
